Re: Full fibre in a new build

I have acquired a spare router (not a PlusNet one, I think the company is called Technicolor). I have plugged this in. My PC is connected to it, but I have no Internet and the router's firmware is stuck on 'PPP connecting'. I have put the username and password in correctly but it merely remains on 'PPP connecting'.

Re: Full fibre in a new build

@Lenzar what model router ? and how is it connected to the ONT ?

Just to check , username is <youraccountname>@plusdsl.net and the password is that used to login to the member centre https://www.plus.net/member-centre/login

Re: Full fibre in a new build

I've realised why it isn't working. It has 4 ethernet sockets, but not one marked WAN. I am guessing it simply does not have the correct internals to do what I need.

It's a TG558 according to the labels. I connected it via one of the 4 ethernet sockets.

All this over me forgetting a mains cable!  >_<

Re: Full fibre in a new build

It does not appear that that router is Full Fibre capable - it is described as an 'ADSL/VDSL router'.
