How to get a new line installed? Who to talk to? Can't get through to plusnet?

We have existing line and service with plusnet but are doing renovations and would like to pay to get a new line installed properly. THe legacy line is just whatever someone else did and is not direct.

Who do I call and how can I get through to plusnet about this? I suspect openreach does it but plusnet organizes?

This is for broadband but I think it's the DSL line or phone or whatever it is.

@dcdc Yes, it is OR who do the work - at a cost - but yes you arrange it through PN - you have no direct contact with OR.

Ring them on 0800 432 0200.

Ok but what do I press? I can't get through to anyone it just dumps to the auto robot

I assume that when you call, you are given initially two options - choose the first one, and then follow through the rest. I don't know which of the options from the next list you want, but it should be obvious. If you still have problems come back and I'll see what I can do.

Thanks! Got through with pressing '4' for "new installation".

I had to drop off the call fairly quickly, not sure exactly what state the order is left in but I think open-reach will get in touch for a booking? And it sounds like we can switch to something closer to fiber.

Full fibre shows as WBC FTTP and FTTC as VDSL. ADSL is ADSL!!!

You should be able to track the order in your Member Centre - but don't look for a couple of days - it takes them a while to update details - and note the 'should', these days there is no guarantee that they will even bother to update it.
