Moved to "Fibre", SOGEA, but still have a working phone line, has the order failed?

Moved to "Fibre", SOGEA, but still have a working phone line, has the order failed?

I have recently moved from Fibre Extra to Fibre.

I received emails giving the 10 November as the activation date. Today, the 10 Nov, I received an email informing me my product change is now complete.

The Plusnet portal now shows me as having the Fibre product.

As this change was to a SOGEA product I was expecting the phone line to stop working but I still have a working phone line.

Has something gone wrong with changeover?

My main concern is I want to order a VOIP port for the Landline number but do not want to order that until the changeover is definitely complete as I don't want to find the Plusnet product inadvertently cancelled by the number port.

Have you checked to see if you can call out, or in, or if it is still your number?

Yes I've checked incoming & outgoing calls still work with my landline number.

Whilst the dial tone may remain for a while, you should not be able to make or receive calls once the transfer is com-Leyte.

While the changeover may have been made on schedule, the actual switch may not be made until midnight.

Fix

@RoosterUK I can confirm the phone line has been ceased. It can take up to midnight to fully not work.

Re: Moved to "Fibre", SOGEA, but still have a working phone line, has the order failed?

Thanks, the phone line has stopped working overnight so it seems that although the email arrives stating the product change is complete it doesn't actually mean that it's complete more that it should complete that day.

It would be worth altering the wording in the emails sent out to better reflect the reality of the process.
