Moving into new home - Home Phone - Order cancelled

I have just bought a house and signed up for Broadband and home phone (ticking the option to take over the old number - previous occupant was with BT, but has moved out of area so wouldn't be taking their number with them). I received acknowledgement of order and have an activation date of 30/11/22.

Today I got an email saying "Home Phone - Order cancelled". I certainly didn't cancel it so what is going on?

Re: Moving into new home - Home Phone - Order cancelled

If the previous occupant has cancelled their BT service ( which is likely ) then there will be a cease on the line. Until that completes then any other ISP trying to place an order will get it cancelled

Do Plusnet keep trying automatically?

Provisioning will be notified of the cancellation and should resubmit the rider but if I were you I'd call customer services just to check exactly what caused the cancellation.

You could also login to the member centre and see if there is more information on any closed tickets https://www.plus.net/member-centre/login?p=search&view_by=30days
