Hi, just moved to Plusnet with an installation date in August. We're going to be away on holiday for a week either side of the installation date. Already have landline so just moving over our landline and broadband from another provider. Does it matter if we won't be around on the installation date? Is there anything that we would need to do re the installation or can this wait until we get back from holiday? Tried to get through to customer services to ask but lines busy. Thanks in advance.
Fixed! Go to the fix.

@Pfig If you are moving from one provider to another, you don't need to be in, but it may be advisable, just in case there is a problem. I moved from ADSL with Plusnet to FTTC with another ISP just over a year ago, and didn't see an engineer.

Generally speaking the work required is carried out at the cabinet/ Exchange (if required). You would only see the engineer if a fault was noticed and they needed to do a line check at the house.

Welcome aboard!
I've just checked and can confirm you don't need to be home for the transfer to take place.
Also routers are normally automatically sent a few days before a transfer date, but to try to make sure you get it before you go on holiday, I've manually ordered it for you now.
