Hi,
I've been out of contract for quite some time on an older ADSL(2) fibre broadband package and with the impending costs increases I am wondering whether to move to a package which includes line rental. Currently I still have an active BT phone line, with number and line rental charges.
My question is, if I choose to move to a new package which includes line rental, how does this affect the situation with BT?
Does the change automatically stop the BT line rental charges?
Do I need to contact BT to inform them that line rental is being taken over over a partner?
Do I retain my BT number?

Hey there @darkgen so we place the order with the suppliers and then they let BT know that we are taking over. At the time of placing the order with us, you would need to request that you keep the number because then we can port it over for you. So in summary, no you don't need to contact BT we do all the work

Ahh thank you. So on placement of order, there is a checkmark or somesuch to state please keep the landline number.
Lastly, since I'm already a plusnet customer on the Unlimited fibre product, by entering in to a new contract which includes line rental, can I assume there would be no other changes to the account / configuration (no change in IP address etc)?

Hiya, just renewed and there was no option to keep or retain number. I'm not seeing any order no. on the email to reference either? But it does state the new product will be active from tomorrow!

Please could you check the line rental aspect will be undertaken? I do not want to be billed for line rental twice (BT and Plusnet).
I'll assume whatever I've paid for the previous product will been taken in to account / rolled over if overlap exists between billing periods.

Just to add. I did receive an email from BT indicating my phone line would be transferred on the 21 March. Please could you confirm the phone number will also be transferred?
