Hi I want to get broadband installed. I Don't have an existing landline but have BT socket. How long does it take to get installed and can I specify a date and time for the installation?

@mwkl Welcome to the forum.
If you already have a landline, even if the line is not currently in use, then unless there is a problem withing your property you will not need an Openreach visit as the connection is done remotely.
You can request a date for activation and this will be passed on to Openreach. However the actual day is subject to Openreach confirming that they have technician availability on the day.

No , they will text/email when your installation is complete, you then just plug in the router which will have arrived a few days before in the post.
