Hi,
It looks like I may need to change the date of my Openreach appointment. Please could a member from the Plusnet team send me a PM with the earliest appointment slots available & I will confirm.
Thanks very much.

It would probably be easier and quicker to call in, @wivenhoe6

Thanks John, I gave them a call earlier today & the Plusnet rep advised that the Openreach appointment can't be changed until the engineer has made their initial visit/assessment.

Ah - I can't remember what went off in your initial post, but is this a KCI2 Assured installation? If not, I don't quite understand the agents comments. In any case, as you will possibly need to be available for the 'initial assessment' they should be able to change things.
I'll tag @MisterW on this as he has greater knowledge.

Are you talking about FTTC (Fibre) or FTTP (Full Fibre).
If the latter try the following
https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL
You need to see WBC FTTP in the left hand column. If it shows, what does it say to the right?
There should also be a narrative below the results window which will state if any install problems are expected.

@jab1 Thanks, I just googled KCI2 Assured installation & found a previous post by @MisterW . According to https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL/AddressHome it's a KCI2-Assure installation. Thank you, you've helped me get a better understanding of what the rep was trying to explain to me.

@bmc Our posts crossed but I think I've answered your second question. It's a full fibre installation.

No problem - that's what us unpaid staff are for. 🤣

Happy to help.
When installing the backbone network the engineers log any potential problems they may see with regard to actual property connections. For example with overhead this could be access or line of sight problems. Underground could be blocked duct or no duct at all.
It's not a problem until the property orders FTTP when, as you've discovered, a survey is done to see what's needed. If you're about when this happens you get a chance to discuss the location of the ONT with them.
