PON light flashing

Had our FTTP appt today

Open reach came at 8.  Had all the wires and bits in by 10.  Then spent 2 hours on the phone due to the PON light flashing.  He left at 12.30 saying he would stay on the line and let us know all was well later today

Well its 1900 now, no call.  no internet and the PON light is still flashing.  Been on the plusnet line in a queue for ages.  Any ideas internet forum?

Thanks C

Re: PON light flashing

update - at 2000 the plusnet helpline cut me off! assume it does that to everyone

Just tell me you're full for tonight rather than make me wait an hour before kicking me off

Re: PON light flashing

Hi @cc86, I'm really sorry about the issues with your connection so early on and for the difficulties getting in touch. I'll pass on some feedback about how we handle closing the support line at 8pm as that could have saved you a long wait.

Can you send me a PM with your username please so I can have a look into it for you? You'll just need to get your post count up to 5 before you'll be able to send a message.

If this post resolved your issue please click the 'This fixed my problem' button

Send a Personal Message

Support staff might ask for private information to be sent via a Personal Message (PM) which new users might not know how to do. Further to that, new users might not have sufficient ranking (Just Browsing, Interested and Newbie) to send PMs:-

  • Have made 5 or more posts
  • Have logged in (and out) at least twice and made 3 posts

Having attained the (Hooked) ranking a PM is sent as follows:-

  1. Click on the staff member's name in the left panel
    Web capture_27-11-2022_111734_community.plus.net.jpeg
  2. Click on SEND PRIVATE MESSAGE on the right
    Web capture_27-11-2022_113524_community.plus.net.jpeg

Note that PMs sent to one staff member are visible to all staff members to provide support continuity across working rosters.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.
