Add 2nd router

Hi, we have a Hub 2 router and currently have a 2nd router attached to it via ethernet in another roomas we have thick walls which the Hub 2 doesnt penetrate. The wifi from the 2nd router has a different name and password, hence we have to keep changing wifi when moving from room to room. Is it possible to get the same wifi out of the 2nd router as from the first? Hope that makes sense.

Thanks

@davidpowers

I assume that the second router has been configured as an access point?

Whether they will work with the same SSID and passwords depends on several factors, your best bet is to try it and see. You should find the options to change these settings in the router advanced wireless settings. If you need help with the configuration, as @jab1 suggests, let us know thw make and model of the two routers.

To do the job properly you should fit a mesh system which is designed to do just what you want.

Re: Add 2nd router

The 2nd router is an ASUS RTN66U and the first is the Plusnet hub 2?
