Hi I just wondered if anyone knew if there was any way of configuring talk talk's router 'Huawei HG533' on my PN internet rather than using the plusnet supplied 2704n? I find the PN router not very good for gaming and would like to try and see if my talk talk one works any better?

The question has been asked before, have a read here, but make sure you read it all, as there is some duff info in there.

The information in message #3 is correct. I've been trying to look for where you'd put in your PN Username and password.
Set it up Off-line and make sure all the settings are correct before trying it. The way to do this is leave your 2704n connected to the line, just unplug your computer ethernet from it.
Power up the HG533, connect your computer to it, reboot the computer to pick up the HG522 DHCP etc and log into it.
When you've finished changing settings and saved them, reboot the HG533 to check they have all been save correctly.
If all is well, power off the 2704n, wait about a minute beofre unplugging from the line. Wait about 5 minutes before connecting the HG533 (so that DLM hopefully doesn't look at your disconnect as a dropped connection). HTH.

No problem. I'll reply to your other thread about your connection and ticket a little later. What's irritating me is I know there is another post about the HG533 somewhere but be blowed if I can find it atm.

What's on the plastic card that came with the 2704n is the login details for the 2704n and the wireless id and password/phrase.
You Plusnet broadband username for the broadband will be of the format username@plusdsl.net and the password is the same one you use to log into the member centre / portal and also your plusnet email.

Ah right I get that now thank you. Will I need a laptop to do all this or should I be able to do it wirelessly?

I'd recommend you use a laptop. Configuring modem/routers via wireless is generally a bad idea.
