Hi Guys,
I've bought a EVA ION PRO WI-FI 20L dehumidifier from Inventor https://www.inventorappliances.com/dehumidifiers/eva-ion-pro-wi-fi-20l
but having all sorts of problems installing the APP to have remote control over Wi-Fi.
The first issue is that it only works on 2.4GHz and the default on the Plusnet Router is 5GHz. secondly the app installation process doesn't work automatically but forces you to manual installation.
Has anybody dealt with this or related topics previously
I have another router on my network which has Wi-Fi but I don't use it now
Best Regards
Peter

Which router do you have ?
If its the Hub 1 , then split the bands and give them different ssids
If its a Hub 2, then temporarily disable the 5ghz band, connect the dehumidifier, then re-enable the 5ghz
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Hi Both
I found myself in the house by myself this morning so took the opportunity to switch off the 5gHz band. (I have an Hub2).
This enabled me to connect to the Dehumidifier using the APP provided by the manufacturer. The I switched the 5gHz on again.
All working I can control my dehumidifier with my Phone😎👍
