Hi,
I have 2 old Plusnet supplied Routers which I am wanting to dispose of. One of them is a Technicolor TG582n (which I am looking to put on ebay).
The other is an even older Thomson TG585 V7 (which I will probably return to Plusnet, using their returns service).
I have reset both routers, but am concerned that they will link back to my account when next connected. Can one of the Plusnet staff members on here please remove these 2 Routers from my account, to prevent the TR069 feature linking these routers back up to my account again?
I can PM the serial numbers and Account Username to Plusnet staff.
Please note I am keeping the Hub Two (which I am using), and the Hub One (as a spare). Please keep these 2 on my account.
Thanks in advance.

@Schiehallion I would seriously doubt you would get much, if anything, for the TG582N. It is only ADSL, and I suspect hardly anyone still uses that technology. IMO, you would be better off returning them both to PN.

As @jab1 says, neither are of much use anymore.
In addition , I would suspect that both of them have long since 'dropped off' the TR069 management platform.
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Thanks for replying, the TG582n is the Fibre version which needs to be connected to a modem. It's the second one on this link:

You're probably both right though, it won't be worth the hassle to sell the 582. I'll return them both to Plusnet. You do see second hand ISP routers on eBay. I personally don't know why anyone would buy one, when you can contact Plusnet, and get a new one for the cost of the postage.

Good luck with that!

Well in my case, when I renewed my contract online (Changed from FTTC to SoGEA), I was given that option. As I already had a HUB One and was wanting to add a VOIP service I took the HUB Two for the post and packing cost.
On a previous occasion, at contract renewal time, I upgraded to a HUB One for the P&P cost.
Last year when my dad had a problem with his line, Openreach advised Plusnet that he had a faulty Router. Plusnet sent out a new one free of charge.
A number of years back when his Old ADSL Thomson TG585 packed up, they sent out a free replacement (don't know if there was a postage cost, probably not).
When my Uncle's ADSL Router packed up they sent out a free replacement (don't know if he had to pay postage).
As you can see, my family has never had a problem getting replacement routers out of Plusnet
However, maybe I should have been clearer and said, that you need to ask at contract renewal, or when your current one develops a fault. Why else would you need a bog standard ISP router?
Of course, you won't get one by phoning up at random.

Glad you have had no problems, I have seen posts where PN were unwilling tio replace routers unless there was total failure. I received a Plus One replacing TG583 when I moved to FTTC (mind you a second-hand HH6 was even better for my final few years) and a Hub Two on going to FTTP a couple of years ago.
In fairness I'm quite happy with PN routers, I did try a fancy router which made no difference except for the £80 deduction in my bank statement, and Hub Two totally fills our needs. As it does, I would think, for the other million-plus PN users out there.

Sorry if I came across as having a rant, on my last post.
I've also been happy with all the Plusnet Routers I've had. The only reason I asked for the Hub Two (to replace the Hub One), was that I had read on this forum that it was best to get the Hub Two if you were connecting an ATA.
I wouldn't get any benefit from buying a 'better' Router either.
