HomeAssistant Port Forwarding

Struggling opening up the PN router, never had a problem before. It works on the internal ip and port, but not from the external ip address or my No-IP account.

I also don't seem to be able to update the software on it. I have never had an issue opening ports on a router before, this one has me stumped.

If anyone has any suggestions, i'm all ears 😁

Re: HomeAssistant Port Forwarding

That second error suggests there's no route out to the Internet from Home Assistant. What is it installed on and how exactly are you trying to configure remote access?

Any clues in the Home Assistant logs or under Network Settings?

Re: HomeAssistant Port Forwarding

Hi Bob

Due to the lack of LAN connections on the rear for my fixed connections, it is in a hub. The hub is communicating and it shows as connected to the router, the other items I need access to are all communicating correctly.

HA has always configured itself to port 8123 and I have always opened ports for UDP/ TDP with no issues. It is stubbornly refusing to do anything outside of the network.

Re: HomeAssistant Port Forwarding

Solved it. the connection to HA has been removed from the hub and put direct into the router ethernet port and is now chugging away nicely. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction Bob.
