"Plusnet Hub One | Software version 4.7.5.1.83.8.259 | Last updated Unknown"
My 5ghz network is terrible and has been for a while. Constant issues. Replaced with an old router so i can get this fixed.
Read that there is an update that fixes the 5ghz, but can't find it anywhere.
Phone support can't detect, duh, so can offer no fix.
What are my options?
Fixed! Go to the fix.

You're out of luck I'm afraid.
See the update at the top of the thread here.
For some reason, your hub has been out of contact with the management platform for years so hasn't been kept up to date. You'll need a replacement.

Well the phone support insists on doing all the checks and sending out an engineer to confirm if a replacement is necessary.

I've shipped you a replacement. Should arrive Tuesday/Wednesday.
It's a newer model, and worth me mentioning that you cannot separate the 2.4GHz and 5GHz SSID's with this unit.
That said, it shouldn't cause you any 5GHz connectivity problems.
