That is the new test firmware. The version has changed to .273 but unfortunately the way it is deployed means it doesn't update the 'last updated' date.

@bobpullen I have now done a factory reset, could you give it a go now with the firmware?
I notice that before the reset, the updated status was 'unknown' however it has now gone to today's date (18/04)

@Vkilleuz @tezzab @Beefyj @al3 @Hambonz @blandyp & @SCam - yours will also have rebooted, however you're all now running the updated firmware that should mitigate most of the problems you've been experiencing.
Thank you very much.
The router says "Plusnet Hub One | Software version 4.7.5.1.83.8.273 | Last updated 27/02/19". You're the expert, but does that indicate it hasn't updated the firmware after all. The 5GHz is recently working, so that's good, whichever.

@blandyp see Nigeboy's post a few before yours. The last update time not changing is expected due to the way I deployed the firmware.

All sorted. As above, the last update time won't have changed. You should now be on a version ending .273

@bobpullen Thank you for the update however I need to report that after the factory reset and update you pushed on Friday evening I had to restart my router again Sunday due to the issue. In particular it was my Amazon Fire Stick and Amazon Echo that could not connect Sunday evening (after they had been connected and working with use up until early evening).
I tried reboots of the devices and also switching them to 2.4Ghz (which worked) and back to 5Ghz (which still did not). Rebooting the router seemed to fix it as usual. (These devices are in same room as the router, infact along the same wall as the router)
Also noticing that not all my devices correctly display on the router management screens anymore, specifically those with static IPs set do not always appear. Some with static IPs appear with a dynamic address on the management screen, however using android "Fing" app i can see them via that at correct addresses and calling them via the correct static IPs work. (Such as my Ikea Gateway and the Amazon Fire Stick)

@mpatterson thanks for the feedback. Although, somewhat concerning given the success reported elsewhere. When did it happen? Around 3pm-5pm by any chance?

@bobpullen oddly enough just after that. Equally was after this that the static assigned IP *.29 could not longer be used. Have since had to switch to another and update my smart home as router says it is already assigned to another device. (even though MAC addresses match)

And did you reboot around 6:45pm?
Reason I assumed it was earlier was due to the presence of this in the logs (note, the timestamps are an hour out as the router is still running on GMT):-

Could the problem have presented itself earlier I wonder, but you didn't notice?
Regarding the network map observation, I've seen similar reports before and it's something we've looked into. I'm keen not to spend too much time concentrating on that aspect mind you, in the interest of keeping the focus on the 5GHz issues.
Edit: Actually, just noticed that the associations before 5pm are on the 2.5GHz network, not 5GHz.

@bobpullen yes it could well of been earlier without noticing it. Oddly enough phones on the 5Ghz network seemed ok. In the past if 1 device could not connect it seemed to be all that could not.

The Network Map issue is one I've had for quite some time. @bobpullen had managed to re-produce it on a previous version of the firmware. Hopefully once they're happy that the 5GHz issue is fixed then they can look into this problem.

Hi bob, tried to PM but dont think i can as im a new user.
1. 5Ghz will not connect to any websites or the router address, despite connecting to laptops/phones.
2. Devices appear to be connected, and the hub is blue, no sign of any problems apart from inability to load any web.
3. I tried merge and split, I first split when i realised my devices were defaulting to 2.4 and that bandwidth was being used by 11 different devices.
4. Persistent to all devices 24/7
5. Problem is here atm and has been since we got the hub.
6. Have rebooted twice and no difference.
7. devices tested were macbook and ipad.
8. no device patches
9. network setup, hub one in living room, attached via ethernet to a laptop computer and apple tv.
Wirelessly connected to 3 ipads, macbook pro and 2 iphones.
User name: alexwyld
1. Brief description of the problem, and how is masquerades itself. What are the symptoms? How frequently does it happen?
2. Do the devices having problems appear to be connected or associated with the hub? Is the hub status indicator normal/blue when the problem occurs?
3. Do you have the 2.4GHz and 5GHz channels merged (default setting) or split (different wireless network names)? If the networks are named differently, does the problem only affect the 5GHz network?
4. Once the problem occurs is it persistent? Do you have any devices wired to the router and does the problem affect them at the same time?
5. Are you able to reproduce the problem reliably? Do you think you have a way of triggering it? [for example waking a specific device from power save mode]
6. Is the problem always resolved by rebooting the hub? If so, how long does it take before problems recur?
7. If specific devices are always impacted when problems occur, please provide details of which devices are impacted and which aren't i.e. manufacturer, model, variant and operating system version.
8. Have the devices experiencing problems recently received any patches that might correspond with the time the issue first occurred?
9. Please provide a description of your home network setup and all devices in use including whether or not you're using any additional switches, Powerline adapters or wireless access points.
Running: Plusnet Hub One | Software version 4.7.5.1.83.8.263
please can you try me on the beta update and ill feed back if theres any improvement.

@alexdulac that's been done for you. You'll need to reboot to apply the upgrade. Interested to know if it helps because a rebooting typically resolves the issue for most (temporarily) but that doesn't currently seem to be the case for you?
