Thank you for your help with this and notifying me that the router is ready for a reboot.. I've now rebooted and will see how the WiFi fares over the coming days/weeks. Hopefully all will be fine.

Since disabling 5GHz, while it has been noticeably slower, I've had no issues with my Chromecast dropping off the network and (it may be coincidence but..) no "Watchdog reset" reboots for 3 weeks (the longest since it started to happen in February) - previously I'd be getting them every few days.

Thanks @bobpullen ,
Router rebooted and firmware now showing as .273.
I've re-enabled the 5ghz side and my phone immediately connected to it. Fingers crossed we're up and away!
Thanks very much for all you've done 👍

@bobpullen I have had this issue with my 5GHz wifi for as long as i can remember. Can you please push the .273 firmware update to my router?

Hi, I'm having problems keeping a stable 5ghz connection to my new laptop, I usually get 38mbs but often only shows at 1.5mbs. Other devices seem fine on 2.4ghz. I understand a firmware update may help?
I am currently running Plusnet Hub One | Software version 4.7.5.1.83.8.263 | Last updated 12/03/19.
I f someone from Plusnet could respond I would be grateful. Thank you.

@Routefinder the instructions in the link are great. However, do I use the password I use to access this forum and my PN account (it's been changed many times) or the original one I used back in the day when I got the PN hub?

AFAIK it is always (I am not aware of any exceptions?) the same password you have used when setting up your previous PN supplied Hub.
