Re: Hub One - 5GHz WiFi issue

Thanks for attempting to update me 🤓    As my IT needs are a bit more specialised than most, the Plusnet supplied router did not have all the features I needed. I ended up using my own equipment anyway.  Service has been great since then 👍

Re: Hub One - 5GHz WiFi issue

Welcome back @bobpullen and thanks again for your work. Please could you send any latest updates our way as we've been having more issues over the past few weeks of the grinding to a halt variety.

Re: Hub One - 5GHz WiFi issue

@Mitchjc123 - done.

Usual applies, you'll need to give the hub a quick restart to apply.

Re: Hub One - 5GHz WiFi issue

@bobpullen Please can you update my Hub One router? It seems to have dropped off the maintenance list.

Thanks!

Re: Hub One - 5GHz WiFi issue

Hi, I'm having the same issue (5GHz). I've had a notification that the new firmware was to be installed. I followed the instructions and nothing happened. It's still showing:

3. Firmware version: Software version 4.7.5.1.83.8.263 Last updated Unknown

I've reset the router now so it's all back to factory standard. Happy to send a PM with serial number, etc if that's what's needed to push the update again. I can confirm there is no evidence in the log files of the firmware update being downloaded or applied.

Re: Hub One - 5GHz WiFi issue

Hi,

I've been having 5Ghz wifi drop outs for a long time and just found this post says that there is a fix available.

I'm on firmware 4.7.5.1.83.8.263 (last updated 25/03/19) and Hub serial number is +081441+NQ65004966.

Is it possible to have the latest firmware installed?

many thanks

Re: Hub One - 5GHz WiFi issue

@jasonanthem - done. You'll need to restart your hub to apply the update.

@andypea - for some reason, your hub has dropped off the management platform. If you can factory reset it by inserting something into the pinhole at the rear of the device until the status light flashes green then I'll give things another go.

Re: Hub One - 5GHz WiFi issue

Hi again @bobpullen

For the past few weeks I’ve been experiencing issues again.

Router grinds to a halt, devices not connecting to 5ghz and having issues with my HomeKit setup. Both my HomePods are constantly dropping from the 5ghz network which is causing a lot of headache. I’m at my wits end with this router.

The router is currently on the 289 firmware.

Please can you push the latest 289.1.3 firmware to my router.

Also are there any plans for a new router any time soon? The current problematic rebranded BT Home Hub 5 is rather old now.

Thanks.
