Re: Hub swap

I presume without going on the management system the hub won’t get firmware updates ?

That is correct but there has not been one since June 2023 currently

Firmware version:v0.10.00.04201-PN
Firmware updated:30-Jun-2023

Re: Hub swap

@Markwallwork0 / @Dan_the_Van  It should be possible, and is advisable, to get it back on the Management Platform if you intend to continue using it. Maybe @Marsh  can get it arranged.

Re: Hub swap

@jab1

I have already suggested in message 13 about adding the Hub to TR069

Maybe you missed my post

Can you explain that, please - it doesn't quite make sense to me?

Re: Hub swap

@jab1

The Hub-2 received at the end of 2023 didn't have the latest (June 2023) firmware installed.

(at least that is how I read it ?)

Re: Hub swap

@outcast OK, but if it gets put on the platform, that firmware pushed it - if it doesn't, then that can be arranged.

Re: Hub swap

@Markwallwork0

It is the firmware version number to be concerned about, rather than the date it was applied.

So on the Hub two  Advanced Settings >Information > Firmware version > v0.10.00.04201-PN

HTH

Re: Hub swap

Correct I initially got a hub for a fttp install which got cancelled due to a blocked duct no timeframe and me having no service as bt had ceased my line . This hub was delivered end of 23 and does not have the latest firmware . This is the hub I have now connected to my fttc dsl connection following advise from Plusnet Helpdesk . My hub I’ve decommissioned this morning has the latest 2023 firmware and was delivered a week or two after the one I am now using

Re: Hub swap

@Markwallwork0 What firmware version does this Hub have? I doubt it will have any real effect on day-to-day use, whichever it is, but as said previously, once it is back on the management platform, it should be possible to update it.

Re: Hub swap

Do I need to raise another support call to get the hub updated? Also since swapping my connection has remained up . 1 day 3 hours now

longest since Wednesday. Early days though . The line stability change hasn’t gone in though this is an open question on my account apparently ,next week. I also posted on my local Facebook groups and looks like a few people had been having problems locally. Not sure if they Plusnet but deffo all fttc on openreach. So either it was a hub problem and the swap has fixed it, or it’s a stability issue and might happen again and get fixed by the configuration change or it was open reach were messing around again . The exchange has change to fttp only for,new orders recently so I, not,sure if they are reducing fttc capacity ? Either way I’ll stick with this older hub so any help getting it updated appreciated
