Re: New Router

There is a nice thread with all the information in the first post about using a BT Smarthub 6 on Plusnet at https://community.plus.net/t5/My-Router/Using-the-BT-Smarthub-6-on-a-Plusnet-Account/m-p/1587673#M85...

I think @Toby1971  is going from Smarthub 6 to Plusnet Hub 2

@Toby1971 in answer to

Do you mean SSID? Then yes you can.

Warning, you can not split 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless names, the Hub Two only has three LAN ports, the fourth port is for a WAN connection.

Re: New Router

The Hub Two should auto setup on first connection as it it should be on TR069 system.

If you want to keep your current wireless name to your choice go to http://192.168.1.254   Advanced Setting >Wireless

Any port forwarding rules you may have will also need adding by you.

Re: New Router

@Toby1971  Have I missed something, why are you expecting a speed increase? If you have changed product to Fibre Extra the speed should increase as soon as the upgrade happens. Maybe it hasn't yet.😊
