Re: No internet connection

Those last ones are the ones I needed.

The IP addresses being allocated look like you're not connected to the Plusnet network. Seems like something has gone awry with the connection routing in the BT network. Looks like you might be connected to the BT wholesale test environment.

In the first post you say 'we are assured that the router is receiving a signal from PN' , who gave that information ?

Exactly my thoughts, @MisterW . I wonder why?

Well I'm not sure what they based that on! You're obviously not connected to the PN network, the allocated IP address is wrong ( its a private 10.x.x.x ) and the DNS servers are xxx.ukcore.bt.net, which would indicate you're being terminated on the BTw network and not routed to the PN concentrators.

You COULD try a factory reset on the Hub (incase you havent already) but I wouldnt hold much hope.

If that fails, then the only option is to report a fault

Re: No internet connection

Thank you just spoke to PN again who assure me I’m connected. When I read out the numbers I’m looking at on the 192 page they didn’t match what they were looking at for some reason!?! Calling back in 30 apparently

Thank you all for your help with this

No problem.

It's going to take someone experienced to sort out what's happened. If you don't get any sense from the callback, post back and I'll prod one of my contacts to take a look.

Re: No internet connection

Openreach engineer is booked for tomorrow to look at our exposed cable that was layed 2” below our neighbours lawn!?

Do they think the exposed cable is the problem ? not sure how😁

The good news is that the OR engineer should be able to sort it, although they may need to be persistent if necessary to get past Openreach 1st line DCoE support!. I spent a pleasant 3 hrs the other week assisting a neighbour with their new FTTP connection that wasnt working (not a Plusnet connection I hasten to add!).

Similar situation , not getting an IP address. ISP faults couldnt identify a problem so OR engineer called out. After 2 hours of them getting nowhere with 1st line DCoE , eventually got through to 2nd line , who promptly said 'that's odd, the connection is provisioned on a 'non active' backhaul link to the ISP. 1/2 hour later and some 'tweaking' , everything was working...

Re: No internet connection

By exposed I mean it’s unprotected the bare 7mm cable is buried 2” under the neighbours 30m lawn out to a junction in the street. I only noticed when I weeded the flower bed and saw the black cable out the ground 6’ from the house running over the flowerbed.

Fingers crossed that someone knows what they are doing tomorrow

System was working flawlessly don’t get why someone somewhere has messed with the settings while we were away

Re: No internet connection

Not that I’m aware of

I know one is waiting but there’s a ‘blockage’ and the others had it fitted a while ago

Re: No internet connection

Lovely engineer here now sorting things, her first words were ‘that’s not good’. Cable needs to be dug up and relayed, a 2nd fibre wall box installed as 2 properties are sharing one at the moment. The IP address currently being corrected, no work was completed ‘on the books’ over the weekend to the neighbours properties.

All very strange she says….. 🤞

Thank you all again for the help and assistance
