PPPoE

I have not managed to get my OPNsense router to connect to my Plusnet VDSL service via  an Openreach HG612 using PPPoE.

I have a Zyzel router which can connect via this HG612

Is anyone able to advise on how OPBsense should be configured to make this connection?  Googling I have found that others have also had this porblem.

Alternatively is it possible to have my Plusent service changed to use a different connection method via the HG612 such as DHCP?

Re: PPPoE

Also you will have to either disable gateway monitoring or change the IP used for monitoring as the PN gateway won't respond to pings , see https://community.plus.net/t5/Broadband/PFSense-Connection-Issues/m-p/1916297

Re: PPPoE

I eventually got this to work after reverting to an earlier configuration.
