Plusnet Hub 2 Firmware Update

I can see from the technical log that my PN Hub 2 will updates it's firmware overnight to v0.06.00.12134-PN.

Is there an overview of the changes and improvements that this will bring?

No, there doesn't tend to be release notes for firmware.

Suggest check sync speed and note any changes

I've seen no noticeable sync speed change when the firmware updated, download 52121 kbps before, 51946 kbps after.

Can someone please remind me how the Hub Two gets its firmware updates and whether I need to do anything (e.g. restart the router) to get them.

I installed my new Hub Two at the weekend and I see that its firmware is 0.05.03.07154-PN, which is below the release given at the top of this forum as the latest version.

Shall I just wait for an update to happen or do I need to do anything to start the process?

@grahamt It should automatically pick up the update, without you doing anything. How long have you had it?

Typically for me, after asking the question I looked further into it. The technical log told me the firmware was updated at 10:27 this morning. It was still reporting the version as 0.05.... so I tried restarting the router. Voila - I now have the current version.

When the Hub 2 downloads new firmware it automatically schedules a reboot around 02:00 the following day.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.
