Router with IP restrictions on port forwarding?

Currently still on FTTC.

Iam wondering if any of the PN routers allow IP restrictions on inbound port forwarding rules? The BT home hub Iam using currently doesn't seem to cater for this.

What I would like to do is setup a port forwarding rule, but permit only a set of IP ranges access.

Apparently this is possible on the latest Sky broadband routers.

Re: Router with IP restrictions on port forwarding?

As the PN Hubs are merely re-badged HH's (with slightly  modified firmware), they behave exactly like their BT cousins. You can of course use a third-party modem/router (not SKY's, which are locked to that provider).

Re: Router with IP restrictions on port forwarding?

@mikcatta If you can find a suitable router that supports Openwrt https://openwrt.org/ then that will do what you need https://forum.openwrt.org/t/port-forwarding-and-restricting-incoming-public-ip/100753/2

Additionally IIRC Draytek routers have similar facilities https://www.draytek.co.uk/support/guides/kb-firewall-rules-port-forwarding
