Router

hi my router isn’t coming on for some unknown reason and I can’t turn it back on and am currently having issues with contacting plusnet support about it please help as I don’t know what to do exactly or what the problem with it is?

When you say 'it isn't coming on', what do you mean? No lights on it? Not allowing you to connect, or what?

I tried restarting it by turning it off and on again as I was having issues with it but in doing so seems to have made it worse and now it won’t come back on at all, it’s gone off completely and I don’t know why or what to do about it exactly, also thanks for responding by the way

it’s a plusnet hub two, and there’s no light and no WiFi/ internet connection either

DK. Just to eliminate things one at a time, have you tried plugging it into another power socket, in case the current one is faulty?

The Hub two has a on/off button next to the power cable socket (the black cable), is it pressed in ?

just found out the problem by looking through my emails apparently my contract expired without me knowing about it and I need to get it renewed but having difficulty contacting plusnet about it though

That sounds strange. If your contract expires, you move to the 'out of contract' rate, your connection doesn't cease, and your router doesn't 'expire'.  The fault is with the router, or, as I said previously, the power socket it is connected to.

Your contract expiring would not prevent the router from starting up.

At worst, it would just mean that you would now be paying more for your service, (possibly up to double what it was before!), but you should still have a working service.

Also is the power socket an extension of another socket that's switched off ?
