Setup Tenda D301 v4 router

Hi trying to setup Tenda Router using vpi 0, vci 38, username+password, vcmux, PPPoA, ipv4, default route, auto DNS but it fails to connect. Anyone used a Tenda please? Plusnet router playing up but line checked and reported good.

Did you just enter 'username',  or did you use  'username@plusdsl.net'  ?

Entered username@plusdsl.net (confirmed by logging into broadband account online and on flakey router).

DSL led Flashing. Tried using Wizard and manually configuring in Setup. Done a full reset and reconfigured too. Has a diag-test and this fails everything except WLAN test. Not convinced ADSL side of router is working. Same cable works on old router so not cable or connection.

It isn't!. It's trying to synch, no amount of configuration is going to make any difference without DSL synch.

Same cable works on old router so not cable or connection.

Have you tried using the cable which came with the Tenda ?

If that still doesnt work then sounds like the router is faulty.

Re: Setup Tenda D301 v4 router

Tried tenma cable and splitter. All cables work in old router, none in Tenma. Your description of DSL light fits self test failures Inc ADSL sync test etc.
Thanks for replies. Sounds like faulty brand new router!

@ddbsoft  - when your ADSL is working normally,  what UPLOAD speed test results do you typically get ?
