Re: Solar panel issue

Thank you for the video link, unfortunately, my inverter hasn’t got the indicator stick. I couldn’t configure. Although i filled in the all that was asked, as i depress continue it said feature not supported. this features is for inverters without an lcd screen. Please use your inverter’s lis screen to view its status. No wi fi see attaches.

Re: Solar panel issue

In picture 2 That looks like an ethernet cable. Was there a cable from the inverter plugged into the old router ?

And has that cable been transferred to the new router ? If so which port is it plugged in to ?

Re: Solar panel issue

The unit in picture 2 looks to be a tplink TL-WA850RE which is probably being used to convert from wifi to ethernet. It just needs need the wifi on that set to match your new routers wifi either via the ethernet or via the TPlink tether app. The mannual for the unit can be found at https://static.tp-link.com/2021/202105/20210507/7106509184_Range-Extender(12%20EU1%20Languages)_QIG_...

Re: Solar panel issue

Mismatch of the wifi key between the solar panel system and the router would be my first guess. The key for the wifi is set by the solar panel installer at install time. Any change of the wireless key on the router will require a reconfiguration on the solar panel wireless connection. Which solar panel installers don't leave instructions on. IMO/experience

Looking again at that picture I'm pretty sure @iannewson is correct.

Looks like it MIGHT be possible to use WPS as a simpler method to reconnect the 850RE to the Hub 2 see here https://static.tp-link.com/res/down/doc/TL-WA850RE(EU)_V2_QIG.pdf

For information, the WPS button on the Hub 2 is on the back RHS (looking from the back)
