Very old Plusnet modem/router combo possible replacement?

I still use the old modem and router combo that came with my Plusnet deal many, many years ago and was wondering if there are any other alternatives I could use to save on space and wall plug/energy usage.

The old equipment is the:
•BT Openreach modem ECI-CPE ON316150
•Technicolor TG582n router.

Thank you.

Ask support and as you have not had a new one for years they will probably send you one for the price of postage.

A BT HH6 from eBay for a few quid is quite a good upgrade too. They can be used with PN.

Re: Very old Plusnet modem/router combo possible replacement?

Yeah I can agree with getting the BT Hub V6, even from the more modern Plusnet one hub (which gave me continual WiFi issues), this is a vast improvement.

The white Openreach modem is alright, I think... But the old technicolour router is miles past it now, I don't even think it has 5G WiFi if I remember correctly.

Nevertheless, it's probably best to save space and a socket with an all in one box like the BT Hub.

Hi @rawlinson

Thanks a lot for reaching out, can you please send me a DM with the username of the account that you're referring to? The one I have on my end has a Plusnet Hub One router.
