Zoom sound problems from shared router

I use Zoom all the time and have no problems with sound except between two computers on the same home network (shared router). I can be on a Zoom session with 5-10 people and I can hear everyone well except for the other person connecting from my same router. Everyone can hear her well except for me. Is there some setting that needs to be enabled on our router (Plusnet Hub Two) for two people connecting to Zoom through the same WiFi router?

Vague idea.

Bluetooth connection between the local devices?

Interesting idea. However, in at least the most recent occurrence, one computer was using a bluetooth headeset and the other computer's bluetooth was turned off.

Re: Zoom sound problems from shared router

You say you can't hear the other computer on the same network - is there a problem in the other direction, i.e. can the other computer user hear you?

If not I wonder whether it is a noise cancelling feature - are you logging into the two computers with the same Zoom account? If so it may cancel the sound from both to avoid a possible feedback loop.

Re: Zoom sound problems from shared router

Generally she doesn't t have a problem hearing me, and it doesn't tend to happen one-to-one more in groups.

Good idea to check the Zoom account sign-ons. I checked and she is not signed into our account, or any account for that matter, so no competition for the same resources.

We're going to uninstall Zoom from both computers and reinstall to see if that resolves things.

Re: Zoom sound problems from shared router

Could you try Zoom on a different device (say a phone) for one person?

If that still has the same problem (on WiFi) then if possible try mobile data on the phone.

I am the satisfied customer....
