network partitions on LAN / Hub 2

I want to isolate two groups of devices from each other on my lan (using subnetting or vlans).   Am I right in thinking this is not supported by the Plusnet Hub 2 ?

If I then get a new router (something like a ZyXEL DX3301 that I had with a previous supplier), I can just swap it in and copy across the username/pwd/ip-adr/gateway/dns ?

I have a full fibre connection.

I guess I might be able to use the Hub 2 as an access point elsewhere ?

Re: network partitions on LAN / Hub 2

@neilh1

You are correct the Hub two does not support your requirements

The ZyXEL DX3301 appears to support  WAN connection types: DHCP, PPPoE

So you configure the WAN to be PPPoE, you use your broadband username and password as used on the Hub. Your internet public IP Address, gateway and DNS host details will be populated when the broadband connection goes to the connected state.

Connect the WAN port to the ONT
