@Ezzowulf As I read the description for the AX53, it is only a router - are you on FTTP or FTTC?

Re: tp-link Archer AX53 won’t connect to the internet

OK. Sorry I can't be much help as I don't know the TP range, but there are some on here who have more knowledge than me and probably be able to help - but I doubt it will be until tomorrow, now.

Re: tp-link Archer AX53 won’t connect to the internet

@Ezzowulf  how have you set up the router?

In simple terms all you need to do is set it up to use PPOE, using your PN username and password if direct to the ONT, or DHCP with a different IP range if using the PN Router as it is.

Have you done this?

Are you connected directly to the ONT or are you trying to go via the PN Hub?

Re: tp-link Archer AX53 won’t connect to the internet

@Ezzowulf

The default setting is Dynamic IP, using a browser you change to PPPoE here.

Username will be <youraccountname>@plusdsl.net with the password used for the members centre

Ethernet cable from the blue WAN port to the ONT

Re: tp-link Archer AX53 won’t connect to the internet

I tried to set up through the pn hub but tp link needed details of VOIP/VLAN which I understand is not supported. I was starting to box it up when I thought about direct connection to the ONT. That’s when, being a novice, I reached out to you guys. Thanks for your help.

Re: tp-link Archer AX53 won’t connect to the internet

@Ezzowulf

The AX53 should work with no issue either using a Dynamic Address (connected to a Hub Two LAN port) or PPPoE (connected to a modem) as I've had mine working in both those modes.

I tried to set up through the pn hub but tp link needed details of VOIP/VLAN which I understand is not supported

Not really sure what you are referring to here, no PPPoE VLAN is required as that setting is on the ONT or in my case the modem.

Let me know if you need further assistance

EDIT: What are you using for the VoIP service if about to set one up?

Re: tp-link Archer AX53 won’t connect to the internet

Hi Dan,

 I’m still having issues !
iEthernet cable direct from ONT LAN to WLAN on AX53 and gone through all the tp-link set up to get buffering on the device, so spoke to tp-link who now want a VLAN ID. Do you know how to get this please?

Re: tp-link Archer AX53 won’t connect to the internet

@Ezzowulf There is no VLAN ID on Full Fibre connections - TP-Link should know this.

Re: tp-link Archer AX53 won’t connect to the internet

@Ezzowulf

Other than setting up the internet connection to be PPPoE what else have you configured?

The above are the required settings for Full Fibre connecting to an ONT. (For BT Openreach modem read ONT)

Do you get issues if you use the supplied Hub Two?
