hi, so I'm confused, i have read a few posts that suggest the way forward but whilst i might be getting close i have not solved the issue.
So a recent sonos update removed the ability to play music on it via the sd card in my tablet.
I assumed I needed to have a nas but decided to try a usb in the back of the router first as the music will easily fit on it..
So having read past posts I input the values in the image attached. I assume in the right places? the blank sonos input screen shows \\ not //???
so i left the password blank an it goes away checks something but comes back. it doesn't say its failed or succeeded but the app doesn't show a shared folder created.
i don't know whether its usb, usb 1 or 2 et, i already had a tado device using the hubs usb so i had added a 4 way usb 2.0 splitter
your thoughts please

I don’t know if it’s relevant but be aware that the Plusnet hubs’ USB port use the obsolete SMB1 protocol. Some devices block this by default due to security concerns.

This seems to suggest smb1 works but then recommends smb2.
I’ve never tried Sonos so can be limited help.
What I can recommend is a Synology NAS for music storage requirements.

If you log in to the Hub 2/Advanced Settings/ My Network page and select the USB tab does it show your USB device as being connected?
