Last week Plusnet scooped the Employer of the Year Award at the Yorkshire Post’s annual Excellence in Business Awards. The judges said Plusnet was chosen because it manages to keep an informal and friendly culture alive despite employing over 700 people, and evolving into a nationally recognised brand. They also praised the fact every member of staff is encouraged to get involved. The ceremony took place at Queens Hotel, Leeds. Comedian and impressionist Alastair McGowan was the master of ceremonies with Vince Cable, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills making a key note speech. Over 15 companies in the region entered this award. Our fellow finalists included the international design agency, Elmwood Design and the Leeds and Bradford law firm, Gordons who this year launched the industry’s first apprenticeship. Here's a picture of our very own Laura Mottram clutching the latest addition to our trophy cabinet: Our CEO Jamie Ford said:
“We’re delighted to get this honour. The reasons the judges gave to award Plusnet this honour are truly reflective of every individual who works here having the same aim - to make our business a great place to work!”
