So you'd like to see Plusnet increase the prices to also match so that they can match the contract lengths?

Not really - although as I can't get fibre in the foreseeable future it won't affect me.
I was more concerned that it may put some potential customers off

Looking at that SS, I would go for BT option 2
But since I am like you by the time fibre comes here I will probably be retired (only 16 years to go ;))

In terms of number of end users I'd be pretty confident in saying that BT infinity on its own accounts for 'most of the competition' (probably be quite a long way) so PN are arguably matching what the majority of other fibre users are contracted to.

True. BT's marketing has been very clever (Infinity which is only available from BT). I wonder how many people have switched to BT to get Infinity when they could have had FTTC from their original ISP?

IIRC the wholesale contract is 18 months which is why we've done it that way. It really didn't cost in to be any less at the prices we're currently charging.

We're definitely contracted for 18 months to Openreach for our Fibre orders, hence the contract length.

So the competition build in a higher price to allow for people who cancel at the end of the contract (or during the contract and pay the cancellation fees). That means that after the end of the contract their users are paying over the odds!
I think my first response has been justified!
