Mandy
Many thanks for your phonescalls yesterday and today-they were very much appreciated.
Just to update everyone else who were kind enough to reply to my post - during my time with Talktalk due to an error on their part they had to issue me with a new telephone number (I had originally taken a BT number over when I joined Talktalk) and it seems that this was the root of the problem and something which I feel Talktalk should have pick up on!  However with thanks to Mandy at PN I am now well on the way resolving the problem!

That's very good to hear as I've been following this thread with interest Smiley

Me too Strat - I can hardly believe that Cassie has been 4 months waiting for this bit of information.
This is exactly the sort of thing that I experienced when I was going to sign up with the company.
People just didn't seem to have the basic knowledge and experience.
Hope that Cassie sticks around and joins us.

So if I have understood this right, it's fundamentally TalkTalk/Opal's fault  Roll_eyes

Re: 4 months on and still waiting to get connected.

The original problem began with TalkTalk/Opal, and was compounded by the rather long-winded establishment process that Openreach have to get commercial agreements in place.
That said, we could have explained the situation a lot better, and it's my feeling this issue should have been escalated much sooner. I have passed feedback on to our provisioning and management teams to ensure this does not happen again, and have come to a more suitable agreement with the OP. Smiley
