This is absurd, utterly inexcusably poor results.

Re: Absolutely the worst excuse for customer 'service' in UK history

Yet another response from the user with no attempt to provide any helpful data like router stats which could help diagnose the problem.  A speedtest just shows the end result of a problem but is of limited use in showing where the problem may be.

@Townman  includes links on how to do these checks in all of his posts, so use these links wisely to help us help you.

Perhaps that is all the user wants to do, moan about a poor service and not let anybody help them.

"Perhaps that is all the user wants to do, moan about a poor service and not let anybody help them."

Plusnet are the ones who are being paid for this 'service', and who have done virtually nothing to deal with the issue.

It is utterly astonishing that people are incapable of grasping the blatantly obvious absurdity of the very notion of a 'help' forum being used to defend the worthless excuse for 'service' failure by the party who are actually responsible!

The existence of this 'forum' is direct proof of the facts I have been wholly justifiably complaining about.

Simple question: "Have you come here to moan and groan or to seek help from the community?". In short what do YOU want to achieve as the result of the time YOU spend here? You have been offered guidance to self help - have you any intention of following that guidance ... or are you just going to persist with the unproductive self pity and woe?

Community: The collective skill and experience of both staff and other customers working together to assist those seeking help.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Re: Absolutely the worst excuse for customer 'service' in UK history

@jamessc -because you have (to my knowledge, anyway) never given any indication of your problem(s), your posts come across as rather pointless.

Maybe, if you gave us some clue as to what those issues are, some of the extremely knowledgeable people on here could offer assistance, but as they do not possess crystal balls or are mind readers, your constant carping sounds exactly that - moaning for the sake of moaning.

Re: Absolutely the worst excuse for customer 'service' in UK history

I couldnt agree more, stall, lie, stall, lie, unnecessarily complicated complaint procedure, lie, stall, lie, stall, I used to be a believer in this company - I now hate them with a passion. Be sure and tell anyone who will listen to avoid Plusnet like the plague - maybe then they will realise taking people's money and not delivering what is paid for should be called by what it is - theft.

Do you think that the people on here who are supporting PLusnet are not actually experiencing any issues? Because, believe me, if you had been through the 'support' process, you would be as hacked off as we are.

A good question is why is the process to raise an official complaint so unusable? This is a telling question, and so is the answer. We all work for companies out there, what would it indicate about your company is they received this amount of complaints from unhappy people, and what would it say if management instigated a similar system. CLUE: What it says is "our service is now so appalling, and we have no intention of dealing with complaints, lets leave it till the small percentage of people who can find time and motivation raise official complaints through other channels."

Re: Absolutely the worst excuse for customer 'service' in UK history

Townman and MauriceC are as vocal as anyone in criticising the current woeful state of Plusnet's support.

They are trying their best to help the customer, but very little useful info is coming from the OP.

A complex system that does not work is invariably found to have evolved from a simpler system that worked just fine

Fairly standard good business practice?
