I have some sympathy with the outcome, but did you read the rest of the thread?  they did not read any PN mail, its just junk

It's a 50:50. They could say that they started reading and saw nothing relevant to them in the first paragraph or so and binned it. If Plusnet had used the sawdust between their ears before sending out the email and done something similar to my suggestion there would be no excuse for not reading it.

Yes of course I should have read the email properly. However, can you say that you read every single email sent to you?
Secondly, I was annoyed that I had signed up the service I wanted, then next thing the goal posts are moved....
It just doesn't make good business sense for a newbie to be disadvantaged.... For instance if there was a similar service with another ISP, would I or would you jump?
Of course I would!
I should have known better. I was with plusnet several years ago. A fault developed on the line and I remember it took more than 2 weeks to resolve the problem. Should have known better!
