Quote from: ReedRichards
<snip>
£10 per day compensation for any days after 10 working days where a fault remains unfixed.

With the exceptions, that where it is out of BT's 10 working day limit, due to having to gain permissions etc to dig up roads etc, to compliment the fix,
& then it should be made clear to the end user at the earliest opportunity, why it will take longer than 10 days

Interesting take on the two day fix from Adrian Kennard

Great minds think alike?  Adrian Kennard is certainly on the same page as me with regard to financial compensation for missed targets.

Well they technically have another 30 minutes to call me, but it's increasingly looking like another no-show...

Hi Mordac_The_Preventer ,
Have you heard anything from the engineer?
The request was made for them to call before turning up and this was noted both on our system as well as us making the request for this to be added on their side too.

Nothing, not a sausage.
I am available for the rest of the day, if they are running late, but again, I need a call beforehand.  Considering BT are a telecoms company, that shouldn't be a huge ask...

Re: BT ordered to repair most faults 'within two days'

Hi again Mordac_The_Preventer,
I'm so sorry that has happened again, after booking the appointment and physically calling them to expedite this for today I thought we would finally make some headway  Undecided
I'll update your support ticket with details of fault system now.

Re: BT ordered to repair most faults 'within two days'

No card through the door when I got home from work.
Another week of having to ask my boss for short-notice time off...  It's now starting to get rather annoying.  Any idea what happened?  I appreciate it's not Plusnet's fault, they can go on what BTOpenreach tell them.
EDIT.  Have just seen the ticket update.  Is the new date Monday AM or PM?  Thanks.

Sorry for the wait! The engineer was assigned on 14/07/14 10:53:58. Have they still not turned up?

Re: BT ordered to repair most faults 'within two days'

I've just gotten off the phone with BT Openreach and they confirmed that the engineer was dispatched and attended at around 11:30am and they stated that the engineer tried to call your mobile number when they couldn't gain access to the property. Did you receive a call around this time or a voicemail?

Re: BT ordered to repair most faults 'within two days'

Nope, nothing, no missed calls, no voicemail.  Phone has been sat on my desk waiting for a call all day....   They were also supposed to call BEFORE they tried to gain access, not AFTER they couldn't....
What's really weird, is the first few callouts to try and fix this problem were trouble-free, they phoned beforehand, and turned up when they said they would.    This call's been a  total nightmare.  I wonder if it's a different engineer or something...
The amount of faffing about by BT Openreach sorting out this problem has meant it's become impractical try try and get time of work every time they want to have a tinker to try and fix it, or suggest they might call round.    The necessity of calling beforehand is a direct result of their inability to fix this line fault in a timely and efficient manner.
