My friend has now waited four days to be connected and nobody has turned up what poor service

I'm not sure how you want me (or anyone else) to vote on this. I don't think a question has actually been asked.

Thank you for your prompt reply.
I recommended him from virgin because of the excellent service I have had.
His user name is <-Snip->
He was told he would be connected Monday 6/10/14 Then Tuesday 7/10/14 it is now Thursday 9/10/14 and still not connected.
What service is that. it would be nice if some one phoned him about the delay that he is paying for
