Mine certainly has today. Takes so long to get the effin` thing connected, I feel like throwing the `puter outa the window. It never used to be like this. . . . Dunno what to expect tomorrow or even later tonight. . . . it`s worse when I switch off for a time.(sleep mode)
Will definitely not be renewing my contract. But - will other ips be any better? Bloody hopeso!.

Are you sure your problems haven't been related to the major BT network outage?

Not sure if any of this might help at all but...
Some PCs don't handle network reconnection particularly well when coming out of sleep mode, particularly on wireless connections. In some cases a driver update can help, sometimes changing the power saving options (to off) for the network device can help

Hi plscott,
It looks like you've been suffering a few disconnections recently, I'd be surprised if these were all caused by you or your family rebooting the router:

That in mind I'd strongly recommend visiting http://faults.plus.net and running through the tests there for a dropping connection - if those tests don't fix it it'll raise a fault through to our faults team who'll get it sorted for you.
I suspect the drops may well be why it takes so long to reconnect sometimes, while the router waits to sync up with the exchange before attempting to reconnect.
