Hi Mick,
Sorry about the delay in response this morning,
I have checked things over and the reason you are getting low speeds is you are on an ADSL connection and the Fibre order failed as there was another order on your line at the time, I'm going to get this into place today for you and I'll be in touch via your account to ensure you are updated.

Thanks for looking into things for me, I was exspecting to have to pm you my Username and Password today, but it looks like you do not need that information. I have been onto the phone again today to Plusnet and the help department put me through to Provisioning again because they are as baffled as me as to what is going on. Provisioning have told me the same thing as you have. Kind of feel like i am getting somewhere now, I have a hole in the wall and a Headache though lol.

Hi again,

I do see you spoke to a colleague who works with me today and things are in place to get you onto the Fibre service, I will keep an eye on this to make sure things go as planned from here

Re: Disabled Person Stressed with poor Service.

Been sent an Email today to say i am now being connected to Fibre on the 22nd March. I guess i will be sent another Email about then to say my 14 day cooling off Period starts about then ? I wanted to use my cooling off period to decide if i wanted to stay on the package or not depending on how my Xbox live gaming experiance goes.  I am not able to even access the servers at the moment and when i have been able to it is laggy as hell. can someone let me know when my Cooling off Period starts please ? so i can be sure to make sure i am getting the service i am wanting. Thanks

The 14 day cooling off period starts from the point of order, not from the start of service.

Re: Disabled Person Stressed with poor Service.

I had the Email yesterday to say my Service starts on the 22nd, My guess is though my Line/Speeds will not be stable by then though. Probably another 10 days. So this could take me to 1st April, way passed the time i will have for a cooling off period. So i will be stuck in a two year Contract i can't get out of if my Xbox live experiance is still bad.

With FTTC there's no 10 day bedding in, you see your max speed when first connected  Smiley

Its a fantastic get out clause for ISP's, especially when it can take two weeks for a service to become live!

Re: Disabled Person Stressed with poor Service.

OP, not sure what the nature of your disability is, have you no carers that can help you move things?
I'm in the same boat as you (disability-wise - cerebral palsy), I have a good DSL connection but crap SNR (~15db). To see if it will help, I've decided to change my BT faceplates with help of some ex-BT engineer, however, I have a office desk smack bang in-front of one of my BT sockets, therefore I need help... Although I know someone who will help me move it, he is having family issues.. So 3 months later, I'm still waiting to move my desk........ If you rely on people, you need to be very patient.
Look at it this way, at least you can get fibre.. I can't, unless I cough up £30k to upgrade my cabinet due to few premises connected to it..... Be grateful for that.

Re: Disabled Person Stressed with poor Service.

I have a cleaner who only comes once a week that is it. So my Fibre goes live on the 22nd but my Cooling off period finishes on the 19th. So if i am lagging etc on Xbox live on the 22nd+ i can't do anything about it. Thinks Plusnet considering i have made this clear in my first phonecall to get Fibre about what was happening.
