Disconnection of Chat Line

New to plusnet contacted chat online about 8 times today kept getting cut off the chat box wasnt displayed for me to reply.  Is this a common problem

Was your problem regarding not having a box to type your reply in ?
I once thought that I was being cut off, until I realised that you have to click your cursor in the space at the bottom, for the box to reappear.
I put this down to my old age !
