@DC1,

Re. Your comment:

"Incidentally I have tried turning off my pop-up blocker and making sure I'm using the desktop Plusnet website. Makes no difference; chat line still does not work from my android smart phone."

Do you have a friend or neighbour who could loan you use of their broadband so you can use the chatline?

I have used it twice now, the second time on my Android tablet without technical issues and the communication has been excellent and informative.

@quickbrew

Your post had been caught by the spam filter and I released it.

Re: Does Plusnet have ANY happy customers

As you'll see from the earlier parts of this thread I praised it after using it myself before my Internet connection went dead. Only pad in the house is wifi only so no use to me. Not willing to inflict my Plusnet pain on my neighbours!

Re: Does Plusnet have ANY happy customers

My son has just suggested that Plusnet should be re-named [-Censored-]. The wisdom of youth!

Why on earth has this been censored? By whom? On what authority? For what reason?

Re: Does Plusnet have ANY happy customers

Two other suggestions then if [-Censored-] is unacceptable. How about removing the last word from the Plusnet motto "We do you proud". Or if that's considered censorable too, how about "We do your head in"?

Re: Does Plusnet have ANY happy customers

@DC1,

Not sure I am understanding your last comment.
If you are thinking our posts are censured then yes all forums have moderators and all forums have rules we must follow. If we do break the rules then posts will be taken down.

If you are talking about my M & S post then this was explained by one of the Mods telling me it had been blocked by their spam filter. He released it for me and it is in its original timestamp a page or two back from here.

This almost certainly happened because I kept finding errors in it and tried to Edit/Correct them several times.

This probably made the automatic security systems think I was spamming by posting the same post in several different threads on the forum - which I was not doing.
Incidentally, my multiple editing is probably why scooterman999 got multiple notifications too. Sorry scooterman999.

This not a system I have encountered before as I usually multiply edit my fat finger posts due to autocorrect changes I didn't want as I reread and find them.

If you are refering to something else regarding censuring then I have unfortunately lost the point.

Re: Does Plusnet have ANY happy customers

Be careful you will be accused of trolling and banned from the fora.

Unfortunately contacting Pnet is difficult t and as I know well it is not only the front liners who do not know what they are talking about, the managers will not bother to read the notes properly and get it sooooo wrong. I had one manager who berated his junior colleague for not doing something, when he had done it all the  time. I had a front line person on the phones who said that somebody had done something very wrong, when they had done nothing wrong.

Trying to work out who stitched you up in the end is a mugs game, in the end Pnet are the responsible body because they hold your contract and have taken the money. In the end I think I would ring them up and tell them what to do with their line and ask for an end to the contract and my money back, with compensation.

Whatever happens always remember "We will do you
.........................proud" say Pnet.

DC1 was referring to the word that he had put in being removed and I don't know what the word was, but obviously the swear spam filters did not like it or the mods did not like it. I just liked DC1's other suggestion!

Re: Does Plusnet have ANY happy customers

It was nothing to do with you quickbrew. I did a post suggesting that [-Censored-] would be a more apt name than Plusnet and the moderator (presumably?) replaced the word [-Censored-] with
"[censored]"

Yes @DC1,
That would certainly be correct. 😁

Now go and sit on the naughty step. Lol.

Re: Does Plusnet have ANY happy customers

God almighty. Three words that are critical of Plusnet but are otherwise entirely unoffensive are censored on Plusnet's forum. For the first one, think of the opposite of plus and put it in front of net instead of plus. Others just as innocent.
