Quote from: dsluk I'd love to know how Plusnet can charge £50 if we, the customer miss, or cancel (within a set timescale) an Openreach appointment, yet there does not appear to be an automatic credit of £50 when Openreach fail to attend/cancel.
plusnet don't charge £50, it's openreach that chrage it.
Actually, the standard chargeable visit or abortive visit charge that Plusnet will be charged by their supplier is higher than £50. It's Plusnet who decide if and how much to charge the end user.

point being, the charge comes from openreach.
if plusnet decide to absorb some of that charge then that's a bonus, they don't have to to though.
personally, if plusnet passed on the whole cost to the end-user then i would have no problem with that, as the end-user should have kept their appointment. dentists etc do the same thing.
of course, if openreach cancel it then that's a different debate.

£129.99 was just BT retail's charge to the end user. The WBC price spreadsheet has £120 for the standard chargeable visit, and £90 for the abortive visit charge, ex. VAT of course.
