Re: Enough is enough

It depends on what they're referring to in all honesty.
If it was the standard cabinet then you wouldn't have a phone line so I doubt that's the case.
If its the fibre cabinet I wouldn't have been able to place a fibre order.
I'm still chasing this up.
After the 3rd of November I will have a limited presence here as I have moved to a new role

Re: Enough is enough

@cbmonkey,
If it is a matter of new infrastructure being required, it will be available as and when BTOR decide that they will get around to it.  It seems that not one of their customers (the CP/ISP resellers) has any means of influencing them to perform better.  Somehow or other BTOR seem able to claim that they are meeting all 60 of Ofcom's targets.  That rather suggests that the targets are not aggressive enough or not relevant to most user's needs / experiences around here.
Personally I've been waiting weeks for BT to organise the installation of a line to non-serviced premises - I knew it would not be straight forward.  However, they had dillied and dallied for weeks not being able to give a date for a date, then turning up unannounced ... and sicking a charge of £260.30+VAT for a survey which their price list suggests is applicable to all NSP provides.  I do know that PlusNet have tried hard to get the information I need - the same as you have asked for - however BTOR are simply not willing to provide that information or assure that they will turn up on the day.
I have written 3 time to Andy Baker asking what is HE doing to drive improvement in BTOR's performance and received a nondescript non-answer cloaked in "commercially sensitive" claims.  I await a response to the two follow-up emails ... though in the meantime PlsuNet have been able to move my issue along a little.
Good luck to you.

Re: Enough is enough

Hi cbmonkey,
I've just spoken to our Fibre Helpdesk and they have advised that once the order has generated a provisional appointment (which should be on Monday) we can sort your expedite from there Smiley

Re: Enough is enough

Hi cbmonkey,
I've just phoned our suppliers again, unfortunately there is an open exception on the order that is stopping it from progressing. They have raised a bridge case to rectify the issue, but have advised that it may be up to 48 hours before a provisional appointment is issued.
I am really sorry about this, we're monitoring this closely for you and will get the order expedited for as soon as we can.

Just a gentle request - How about PN CS staff not just posting verbatim what they get from BT but instead translating it into language that will make sense the their customers? Wink

"a bridge case to rectify the issue"
Would that be a bridge rectifier? Sorry, I'll get my coat!

Re: Enough is enough

Sorry guys! It's sometimes easy to forget to translate from BTW to English!
Basically, there's an error on the order that's stopping it from producing an appointment. BTW are working to fix this.
I'll pop off back to my corner and hang my head in shame now! Smiley

Re: Enough is enough

Right, I feel like I'm about to explode.
This is absolutely bloody stupid. Now like the 9th/10th week of waiting and still nothing!!!!. I know from plusbets plusnet plusnets point of view I'm just a number but come on.
Why the f does it take two days to find out what's causing the problem???.

Re: Enough is enough

No doubt it will take 48 hours and me chasing this again to be put back another two days or possibly five...ten if I'm lucky enough.
Not being able to do anything to push your suppliers into an answer is bollocks. I rely on suppliers for my job, and if something has been delayed possibly ten weeks I'd be giving you them a kick up the arse. PN seem content on just taking the basic answer from bt and just passing it on without thinking of their customer that has been waiting so long.
Would I recommend plusnet?. Absolutely not

Reply #16 rather says it all - no action from the commander on the bridge (please forgive the pun).  Roll_eyes

Re: Enough is enough

I am really sorry about the delays. The order is currently in Matt W's capable hands, and he will definitely be chasing this up for you, so there's no need for you to chase it any further. Unfortunately, when an error like this occurs on an order, it can take up to 48 hours for it to clear, though I have seen them clear within a few hours in the past, so we will be monitoring it closely for you, and as soon as an appointment generates, we'll get you an expedite.

Re: Enough is enough

Surely someone knows what this error is though. Is it because there isn't enough available connections?
