If you click the The Download Speed is too low link at the bottom it says (my bold):
Quote Is there a problem at your telephone exchange?
Problems at your telephone exchange can affect your broadband speeds. Put your number in the Usertools Exchange Checker to find the current status of your exchange.
That is wrong as it rarely gives the current status, usually it's weeks out of date

I love the little app that produces the graphs http://www.gmwsoftware.co.uk/
My evening slowdowns pre-date the recent outages.
My exchange was reported as Red on the 15th of January this year but the latest report (Record last updated: 11 Mar 12) shows Green but the graph does tend towards evening exchange contention when kids on the exchange get home from school, have their tea and get on their PC's and consoles (not my kids I hasten to add).
Fibre is available to me and 21CN is coming around August so I can live with it for now but it's just that I don't believe what the Exchange Checker is telling everyone.
If the worst comes to the worst I have an unsecured 20Mbs Talk Talk Wi-fi across the road........kidding, I wouldn't use that

There should be a fresh data set from BT tomorrow so we'll update it then if that's alright? Will post back to confirm when it's been done.
