There has been no evidence of noise on the line since that incident back in November so I doubt it has any bearing on the current problem.
When multi disconnects have been happening I have monitored the line and noticed no noise at all.
Each and every time the line has been checked it has been of high quality. I think we will be on a hiding to nothing if we go on the phone route as all they will do is the same checks as all the other engineers did and find nothing.
What is needed with faults such as this is monitoring equipment on the line to detect what is causing the problems. My problem could be a noise spike that would be impossible to detect without constant monitoring.

The only pattern I'm getting is engineers turning up who either don't seem that interested or have very little knowledge of broadband only having a half day course consisting of going out with another engineer. The other common theme is they all say they are having a lot of problems with ADSL2+ but that maybe due to them not knowing how to fix the faults. They don't seem to have any equipment to check ADSL2+ only old voyager modem that work sometimes.

If not once a day call your number using your mobile let it ring three times and then hang up. The logic behind this is that extra voltage is applied to the line when the phone rings; this can make good a dodgy connection. If this does help it gives something concrete to investigate on your line.

An engineer task (please note without appointment) is now being arranged). We will keep you up to date as this gets pushed through.

This is really getting me down. no one seems to know what the hell they are doing. One minute I'm told a lift and shift has been done, next it has not, then it has. The fault has been passed to the complex fault team then it hasn't. I don't know how many time a REIN engineer had definitely been booked only they had not.
We had SKY salesman trying top sell us BB and telephone on Saturday for a lot less than I'm paying now and I can't tell you how tempted I was to sign up. I'm not going to put up with much more of this, speeds up and down like a yo yo and disconnects.

I sympathise, and I have very much been tempted down the SKY route, as I am sure both our faults are exchange equip related, and should go away of its exchange equip, but I have not been confident enough as yet, and I prefer to stay where I am, but as you, I cant put up with this for much longer. Hissing noted on my line again, and I have been asked to try a different phone, but this has been done before, and I even completely disconnected the phone for a couple of days ( nobody loves us too )

We've been informed that no lift and shift has been carried out so firstly we are seeking clarification on this. Secondly the matter is being escalated again as the inconsistent approach from engineers is obviously unacceptable.
We are really grateful of your patience and we understand that it may only be able to stretch so far so I want to assure you that a member of our faults team is dealing with the interaction between us and BTW today.

It is unbelievable how uncoordinated BTW appear to be. It must be costing them a small fortune. The engineer who called today obviously had no notes as I had to go through explaining the whole saga yet again.
Can someone at PN check to see if the diconnects can be seen at your end.

I'm now wondering if there is a fault in the DLM because some weird things and reading have been happening,.
