Re: Getting very cheesed off now

Could someone at PN check the logs to see if they can see what happened on my connection between 01.00 am and 8.00am Monday morning and perhaps the same for Sunday between 1.00am and 06.00 am.
I went to bed 1.00am Monday morning and had a download speed of 15 meg and get up in the morning to find it's dropped to under 9 meg with the last resync about 07.09am. The same happend om Sunday morning except it dropped from 16 Meg to 15 Meg. There seems to be something happening early mornings between about 5.00am and 8.00am. Looks I'm back on banding yet again.

Re: Getting very cheesed off now

Hi glloyd,
I'd hope that that was the work being done to cease and reprovide you. I'll check on the fault notes now and let you know what's happening. Glad to hear things went a lot better this time round!

Re: Getting very cheesed off now

I hope it's not because my speed has dropped yet again. From what I can see is I get one disconnect and I'm back on a low banded profile again.

Re: Getting very cheesed off now

I hope everything is OK with you at the moment. I've got myself up to speed with what's been happening whilst I've been away now and can see from the engineer's notes from your visit on the 29th that a cease and reprovide has been recommended by the engineer who visited you
To explain this in more detail it is similar to a lift and shift (where the line is rejumpered to a different port on the same line card), however as part of the cease and reprovide process the broadband service is re-terminated on to a different line card altogether.
I have been informed that this work should begin within the next 48 hours and should take up to 72 hours to complete. As before I will keep you updated daily.

Re: Getting very cheesed off now

No, just saying that the job will take around 72 hours. I'll need to query what kind of downtime you should expect although I'm sure it will be minimal.

Re: Getting very cheesed off now

I could rewire a whole house in less than 72 hours Grin

How much do you charge? I've got some dodgy wiring at my place Wink Anyway I've been informed that the work should start on this tomorrow.
