Got Sim provide code will have to wait a week for connection

I am not impressed
I am moving on Thursday 08th October.
BT are ceasing service on Wed 07 Oct 2009.
BT are providing a new line on Thur 08 Oct 2009.
Yesterday, BT gave me a simultaneous provide code  DFQ2571907
I tried to phone Plusnet yesterday after getting the code and got fed up hanging on paying 0845 prices listening to the you can do it on our web site messages.
I tried today and after waiting ages I was told it will take a week longer to have the broadband put on.
Man on the phone just kept repeating the same mantra - it takes 7 days....
So can someone sort this out?

I think you have to give a minimum of a weeks notice for a SIM reprovide code to be able to be used (and even then it's not guaranteed).
Perhaps one of the Comms team can pick this up and confirm that, though.

Barry is correct, for a simultaneous provide we need *at least* 7 days notice to be able to place the order. At this stage the best way would probably be to wait until the phone is active on the 8th and then place the broadband order after that (it'll take 5 working days to complete).
If you give us a call on 0845 140 0200 and choose option 1, you'll get through to our house moves team who are ideally placed to advise you and make sure your move goes as smoothly as possible.
