How do I close a ticket?

I have a couple of tickets which have been (satisfactorily!) resolved.
I can't see any method on current screens of closing them!
See attached for last few entries...

Re: How do I close a ticket?

I was wondering that too when I looked at my current ticket. It's a while since my last ticket and I'm sure you had an option to close it then...

Re: How do I close a ticket?

If they were raised at Plusnet's end, just append a request to close the ticket.
If there were directly raised by you, I think you're given the option to close it.

Re: How do I close a ticket?

I think that it's probably ok just to let the ticket time out.. if I remember correctly they close after 14 days if nothing else is actioned on that ticket, although that doesn't answer how you close the ticket yourself. There always used to be a button that said something along the lines of "I'm happy with this answer" which would queue the ticket for closure..

Re: How do I close a ticket?

I closed one this week, the last comment was from Bob P and I had the option to reply or close, I assume if the last answer is yours you have to wait 14 days

Re: How do I close a ticket?

I suppose I could raise a ticket to close the two outstanding tickets.
But then...  Grin

Don't do that. Once you use up your 3 tickets you have to wait until one of them is closed.  In the mean time you wont be able raise an urgent query.

Re: How do I close a ticket?

Just noticed - the 14 days appears to have killed them off - although they may have transformed themselves into virtual tickets...

Yep if its a ticket raised via the faults checker or one raised by us only we can close them so the best thing to do is ask us to close it via the "I need to add more details" button.

Re: How do I close a ticket?

I did that 2 weeks ago - but after 14 days it quietly expired and closed itself...

Re: How do I close a ticket?

I have just closed a ticket and was asked to give an approximate date of when the ticket was raised. i was allowed to set a date al the way back to 1900. I know that sometimes it can seam like a ticket can take this long but i'd suggest 2010 or 2011 would be a better option.

Re: How do I close a ticket?

That sounds as though you're referring to the survey after the ticket has been closed? If os unfortunately there isn't a way to cut the dates down on there.

Hi Chris, it was the survey 🙂
